A magnificent must-see is Jispa, a charming little village in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul area. Jispa, which is situated on the banks of the river Bhaga and is two hours from Baralacha-la, offers the most breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. On the Manali-Leh Highway, it is frequently thought of as a rest stop enroute to Leh. This location definitely deserves a planned trip all to itself. Jispa village doesn’t often have warm summers, and the temperature rarely rises above 15 degrees throughout the whole summer. Winter officially begins when the temperature starts to fall, stays below zero, and snow starts falling. When viewed from a distance, Jispa is simply ornamented by the rough mountains in the distance, and the settlement appears to be rather small. In this little Indian hamlet, try simple Himalayan tea with some food and learn about Buddhist culture.

Things to do around:

  • Try Himalayan tea
  • Star gazing while camping
  • Chilling by the riverside
  • Take a walk in the village.
  • Late evening star photography
