At 14,000 feet, Himachal Pradesh’s Hampta Pass is one of the most unique and spectacular pass crossings in the Himalayas. The Kullu Valley, a lush green, stunning valley, is on one side of your trail, with forests, grasslands, and blooming flowers on the other. You can see Lahaul’s breathtaking, nearly desert-like landscape, complete with bare mountains and sparse vegetation.

It has recently become a popular trekking destination.  This hike, which connects Manali and Chandratal, is now one of the most popular among Manali visitors. The Hampta Valley used to be merely a route for shepherds and horse-herders to traverse between the Spiti Valley and the Kullu Valley.
