As you travel on our RAWEST Escapade, you will see some of the most beautiful landscapes in our country. While admiring the splendour of the surrounding Spiti Valley, prepare for the drive. You’ll have a chance to get to know your fellow travellers as we start our tour in Jibhi. You’ll then start what is certain to be the adventure of a lifetime as we explore Jibhi. You will continue on and experience the breathtaking splendour of Kinnaur Valley before spending the night at Chitkul, the last settlement before the Indo-China border. As you travel closer to Kalpa, you will increasingly find yourself in awe of the views around you.

You’ll fall in love with the beauty of the Leo Purygal Peak and marvel at the Malling Nallah as you travel to Kaza. Now that you have actually arrived at Spiti Valley, the scenery will only get more incredible from here. The highest post office in the world and the highest settlement with a motorable road are both accessible to you. As you set up camp along Chandratal under the stars, you’ll also have the chance to get completely raw. This journey’s final stage will be a thrilling and picturesque ride to Manali.

Tour Highlight

A panoramic, magical and wondrous village in the old Himalayan region, Jibhi is situated on the banks of the sparkling Tirthan river. The fine architecture and beautiful views that the village has an offer for its visitors are remarkably flawless. The houses in this old village are built of stone and wood, with a large number of apple orchards and Galgal trees embracing them as a backdrop.

At the heart of Kinnaur is Sangla valley. It offers a delight of greenery and evergreen mountains before you enter the Great Spiti Valley.

Chitkul, on the banks of Baspa River, is the first village of the Baspa Valley and the last village on the old Hindustan-Tibet trade route. It is also the last point in India one can travel to without a permit.

Kalpa is a small settlement in the Sutlej river valley, above Reckong Peo in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur district, in the Indian Himalaya.

12,014 feet above sea level, Nako Lake offers a glimpse into the realm of lakes of l-limalayas. The reflection of trees and snowclad mountains on this peaceful lake will briefing you to a stillness.

Mummy of Sangha Tenzin, a 500-year-old self-mummified tomb is one of the greatest attractions of the world. It is said that Sangha Tenzin Self mummified himself to save the town from being attacked by scorpions

The temples within the monastery complex in Tabo have a plethora of wall paintings and mud statues. Dalai Lama has expressed his desire to retire to Tabo Monastery, It is said to be a thousand years old and is considered as one of the holiest places in Buddhism

At a height of more than 3,800 metres in the Dhankar settlement of the Spiti valley, this stunning monastery is wedged between the rocky spurs at the top of a cliff.

The last settlement in Pin Valley, Mud, is a lovely hamlet. Pin Valley is one such lush green area in the Spiti Valley.

Situated 50 kilometres from Kaza at an elevation of around 3600 metres, Mud is the last inhabited village in the Pin Valley.

Kaza is a peaceful retreat on the Spiti River plains, nestled in a remote region of Himachal Pradesh. Kaza is a dream location, surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains, meandering rivers, bubbling streams, and a gorgeous desolate terrain with scattered patches of green.

The largest monastery in the Spiti Valley is this one. It has a legendary past. Original books, holy texts, paintings, murals, and other artefacts will be all around you. You will be transported inside your soul by the vibrations and chanting.

The highest post office in the world is in Hikkim, the highest village is in Komic, and Langza (a fossil village) features a huge Buddha statue that overlooks over the Key monastery.

This is a far-flung village located in the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary, which is well-known for its snow leopards and the Chicham Bridge, the World's Highest Bridge.

See the surroundings of the tallest road bridge in Asia. Rangrik is a picturesque settlement with a clear view of the famed Key Monastery that is located on the banks of the River Spiti.

At 4,551 metres above mean sea level, Kunzum Pass, or Kunzum La as it is known to locals, is one of the highest motorable mountain crossings in India. It acts as a point of entry to the stunning Spiti valley from Kullu and Lahaul. It is located 122 kilometres away from Manali in the eastern Kunzum Range of the Himalayas. The majestic Chandrabhaga Range, the Bara- Shigri Glacier, and the Spiti Valley can all be seen from Kunzum La, which also provides a stunning 360-degree panorama of the mountain.

Chandrataal, The Moon Lake. One of Himachal Pradesh's most stunning lakes is Chandrataal Lake, which is located in the Spiti Valley. A vacation to Chandrataal would combine adventure with untamed, barren environment.

For Spiti, Chacha Chachi Dhaba is a legendary place. Get to know the renowned Chacha and Chachi, who once fed and saved 200 trekkers during a crisis, while taking pleasure in the delectable dinner.

Manali is a high-altitude Himalayan vacation town in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is well known as a honeymoon and trekking destination. It is a starting point for trekking in the Parvati Valley and skiing in the Solang Valley and is located on the Beas River. Additionally, it serves as a starting point for mountaineering, rafting, and paragliding in the Pir Panjal mountains, which contain the 4,000-meter-high Rohtang Pass.

Itinerary

  • Overnight Bus journey to Aut tunnel.
  • Early morning Reach Aut Tunnel and Pick up and Drop till Jibhi.
  • Check in to your hotel and Rest.
  • Evening Explore Jibhi Waterfall and Nearby village or Relax and enjoy leisure time.
  • Overnight stay at Jibhi.
  • Post breakfast check out and start for the trip.
  • Passing through Shoja and Jalori Pass on the way with an amazing view of the valley and rivers.
  • Enroute Kinnaur region and drive though the crazy roads along the river Sutlej.
  • Enter Sangla and reach the last village on the Indo Tibetan Border – Chitkul.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel with star gazing.
  • Wake up breathing the cleanest air in India.
  • Post breakfast, explore the nearby village. Visit Hindustan Ka Akhri Dhaba.
  • Post lunch leave for Kalpa, a village with great spiritual importance. It is tucked in the base of the Kinnaur Kailash ranges.
  • Wake up to the beautiful sunrise view from snow-clad peaks.
  • Post breakfast leave for Tabo.
  • Stop at Nako on the way to enjoy the winding roads and view of the valley.
  • Visit Gue Monastery to meet Great Sangha Tenzin. A monk who self-mummified to save the great village of Gue from scorpions. The mummy is dated 500 years old and is the only self-mummification anomaly found in India.
  • Reach the beautiful homestay with Apricot orchards and Enjoy the rest of the evening and stargazing nights. 
  • Post Breakfast Visit the Tabo Monastery where you can see the Lamas and local culture.
  • Leave for Kaza and Visit Dhankar Monastery and Gompa that is surrounded by a lunar landscape.
  • Post lunch leave for Pin Valley and visit the Last Village ‘Mud’.
  • Reach Kaza Camps and rest. Enjoy a delicious meal under the starry night by the campfire surrounded by the mountains of this cold desert.
  • Now you wake up in the heart of Spiti Valley, Kaza. Post breakfast visit Spiti Valley’s largest monastery, Key Monastery, Hikkim – World’s highest post office, Komik – World’s highest restaurant and Langza – Largest Budhha idol in Spiti overlooking the Pin and Zanskar Valley.

  • Leave for Kaza
  • Overnight stay at Camp Kaza
  • Gear up for the drive to the mighty Chandrataal Lake. This bumpy ride will give you a sight of true off-roading and the most unexplored sections of Spiti valley.
  • Visit Chicham bridge- Asia’s highest Bridge.
  • Passing Kunzum Pass at the Altitude of 4590 mtrs. reach Chandrataal camps.
  • Overnight stay at camps in Chandrataal camps.
  • Post Breakfast you start the last leg of your journey.
  • Visit the Holy Chandrataal Lake and Enjoy the blue waters and beautiful sunrise.
  • Today you travel from Chandrataal to Manali.
  • Reach Manali by afternoon and go on an amazing Journey with unforgettable memories.

  •  If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 75% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  •  In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and, in such cases, the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
